How to Play

Alpine Escape features two games per scratchcard. Each game involves scratching away the virtual coating to reveal the symbols underneath, although gameplay differs for each one.

Game 1

The perfect introduction to those new to scratchcards, Game 1 of Alpine Escape involves just one symbol to reveal. If you scratch away the coating and find the Snowflake, you win £1. This means you can double your initial 50p stake before moving onto Game 2.

Game 2

Game 2 of Alpine Escape follows the same function as the aforementioned Game 1. However, instead of just revealing 1 symbol, the board has 9 symbols that need to be uncovered from underneath the coating. You have to match 3 symbols to win a cash prize. 

The cash prize is indicated under the matching symbols. This prize can range from winning back your stake to the £20,000 top prize.

Scratch to win

When playing Alpine Escape, you must reveal all symbols for the two games to see if you’ve won. There are two general ways the scratching can be done: manually or automatically.

Scratching manually

For the best representation of playing a physical scratchcard with a coin, look no further than scratching manually on a mobile device. You simply press, hold, and swipe on the game area to remove the coating with your finger. Continue doing so until every symbol has been revealed. 

Alternatively, you can shake your device to remove the coating or press the ‘reveal all’ button to show all symbols.

Scratching automatically

Automatic scratching is the option for those that want to save time and get instant results from their purchased scratchcards. This makes sense for those that have bought multiple cards and want to get through them in a swift fashion. 

To scratch automatically, start by setting the Auto scratch switch ‘on’. Then it’s simply a case of pressing the start button to begin the auto scratching. Each scratchcard will then auto reveal, display the results, and move onto the next card. This continues until the cards run out, you land a big win, or you hit the ‘stop’ switch. 

The ‘stop’ switch can be utilised at any time. Doing so will prevent you from advancing to the next card once the current card completes.

Winning prizes

To indicate you have uncovered 3 winning symbols in Game 2, the winning symbols will light up once they have all been revealed. Before moving on, total prize amounts are displayed for both games if you manage to win.

Keep in mind that matching symbols must be achieved within their respective card game. If you find matching symbols across multiple Alpine Escape card games, this does not count as a win.
