Lightning Baccarat Rules
Lightning Baccarat is played using the same standard rules with some differences.
The main objective is to predict whose hand - yours or the dealer's - will win by having the closest value to 9, using eight standard decks of 52 cards. Their values are as follows:
- Aces = these are worth 1 point each
- 2 - 9 = these are worth their numerical values
- 10 = this is worth 0 points
- Jacks, Queens + Kings = these are also worth 0 points each
The Lightning Round begins once all bets have been placed and accepted. 1 - 5 Lightning cards get drawn from a virtual deck of 52 cards. These are then assigned random Lightning multipliers of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 8x. If your bet wins and contains one or more Lightning cards, the payout gets multiplied by the Lightning multiplier assigned to those cards.
Even higher payouts are possible should two or more Lightning cards be dealt to the same bet spot. Their multipliers get multiplied together. The payout then gets multiplied by the total multiplier.
The player and dealer are then dealt two cards each. The round ends in a tie if the values of both are equal. If the first two cards dealt to either the player or dealer total 8 or 9, no more cards get drawn. The "Third Card Rule" is consulted should both the player and dealer's initial two cards be worth 0 - 7.
Players draw a third card if the total of the first two is 5 (or less) and stand if their cards are worth 6 or 7. The dealer's actions depend on their total and the value of the player's third card (if drawn). Specific rules also determine whether the dealer draws a third card or stands.
Lightning Baccarat Bonus Features
Lightning Baccarat's main bonus feature is the (aforementioned) Lightning Round. The game also features Side Bets (called P and B Pair). The former pays if the player's first two cards constitute a pair, and the latter pays should the dealer's first two cards constitute the same.
