History of Gaming Corps

Gaming Corps was founded as a video game company in Uppsala, Sweden, in 2014. Their stated goal was to create multi-platform games for the PC, console and gaming market. In 2015, the company was listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market; that year, they received the licence for their first mobile game, Riddick: The Merc Files, based on the popular film character portrayed by Vin Diesel. However, the license was unexpectedly cancelled the following year.

It was not all bad news, however. In 2016, Gaming Corps acquired the Austin, Texas-based Red Fly game studio. At the time, Red Fly was best-known for porting games like Ghostbusters: The Video Game and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to the Wii. No sooner had the acquisition gone through than work began on transforming and re-purposing Riddick: The Merc Files into a game that would eventually be known as The Descendant, an episodic sci-fi adventure game.

Although a critical darling, it was not the major financial success the fledgling studio had hoped for. This led Gaming Corps to eventually pivot away from being a AAA video game developer in favour of iGaming titles following restructuring and a change of leadership. However, they never quite shed their video gaming roots, as the DNA is clearly present in the kind of games they produce.

2019 was the year it happened. Gaming Corps obtained a B2B license from the Malta Gaming Authority, marking its official entry into the iGaming space. The following year, they released their first slot game, Book of Pirates, a game that has since been decommissioned but demonstrated how the studio leveraged their background in video game creation to stand out from a crowded iGaming market.

The only way was up for Gaming Corps as the studio continued to establish its non-traditional style of slot game creation. In 2023, they became licensed in Sweden, Estonia, Greece and Latvia. The same year, they were shortlisted for the Slot Supplier Rising Star category at the EGR Global B2B Awards. Not content with that, they also expanded their distribution network to around 1,500 online casinos.

2023 had been a big year for Gaming Corps. However, things were about to get even bigger in 2024, thanks in large part to their own internal tech wizards. That was the year they launched their proprietary Smash4Cash mechanic. First bundled in their Piggy Smash slot, Smash4Cash is an innovative “instant win” mechanic that eschews traditional reel layouts in favour of something more immediate and visceral, an interactive smashing action that can provide potential immediate wins.

So popular was the mechanic that it has since been rolled out across multiple slots in their library. However, 2024 yielded two more developments for Gaming Corps. First, they were officially licensed in the UK. Second, the studio released its branded Snoop's High Rollers in collaboration with the popular West Coast rapper. As good as 2024 was, 2025 was even better for Gaming Corps, as they posted record sales, expanded into Slovakia, Ontario and Switzerland, distributed their games to 2,100 online casinos, AND launched their Remote Game Server (RGS) service.

Today, the studio continues to ride high in the iGaming space. Not content with releasing fan-favourite slot games that showcase their top-performing Smash4Cash mechanic, they've also expanded their repertoire to include table, Plinko and even multiplier (essentially crash) games. We can safely say the future looks bright for Gaming Corps!

Gaming Corps Best Slot Games

Gaming Corps has many smashing (pun intended) online slot games; here are our top picks.

We start with the pig theme and set sail along the azure waters of the Spanish Main in the 3 Pigs of the Caribbean slot. Inspired by the classic film series, the scene looks down on a colourful cove that shows a cabin, a pirate ship and part of a tropical island, all surrounded by clear blue waters. Meanwhile, the action is on a traditional 5x3 game grid with a maximum potential win of 1,000. Unruly pirate pigs sit atop the reels. The rousing musical score echoes the iconic cinema hit. Symbols comprise the usual 10 - A playing card numbers alongside classic nautical iconography. Bonus features include the Hold & Win mechanic, which awards respins and lucrative plunder... sorry, prizes, multipliers, and more.

We leave the world of pigs behind in the next slot, Fins of Fortune. Centred around a shark theme, the action takes place at the bottom of the sea amid coral reefs and fish swimming to and fro in the background. Shafts of light permeate the murky ocean depths. Taking centre stage (literally) is the 5x4 game grid with traditional playing card numbers alongside nautical symbols like anchors and old-fashioned submarines. Meanwhile, the music is subtle and mysterious, adding to the ambience. A shark acts as the game's Wild, and may trigger the Free Spins feature. However, Fins of Fortune doesn't skimp on bonus features either, with instant prizes, jackpots, multipliers, and more all making an appearance. Definitely one to dive into!

Last but not least, we have Anubis vs Horus, and we take a trip through time to ancient Egypt in this one, where the titular gods find themselves locked in an eternal celestial battle! The action occurs on the site of an ancient temple, with Anubis and Horus standing on either side of the 5x4 game grid. Accompanying the visuals is an Arabic-flavoured musical score. Meanwhile, the symbols comprise the usual playing card numbers and traditional ancient Egyptian iconography. This is accompanied by several bonus symbols like the Horus and Anubis Wilds that can award free spins alongside their substituting capabilities. And with even more bonus features to unwrap, including prize values, jackpots, and upgrading mechanics, this is an Egyptian slot worth digging into!

And that's only a small cross-sample of all the fantastic Gaming Corps slots we host here at Lottomart!

What Makes Gaming Corps Slots Popular?

Gaming Corps slots are popular for a plethora of reasons.

First, Gaming Corps slots showcase a variety of themes; from pre-history to pirates, from fishing to ancient Egypt and beyond, there's no topic or subject that the slot game provider doesn't explore. Allied to this (and drawing on its history as a video games developer), Gaming Corps incorporates immersive, story-driven narratives and gorgeous visual designs that bring the themes to life.

Gaming Corps doesn't slouch when it comes to gameplay mechanics, either. Indeed, their slots feature a thrilling mix of traditional reel setups showcasing game grids, paylines and symbols and more interactive, arcade-style gameplay built on their experience creating video games and that incorporate "instant win" mechanics like Gaming Corps' proprietary Smash4Cash feature that allows players to physically "smash" objects like piggy banks or gem balls to win prizes rather than spinning a set of reels and waiting for them to stop spinning.

Gaming Corps also takes a "mobile first" approach, and the integration of the flexible HTML5 framework means their slots are fully optimised across multiple desktop and mobile devices, including PCs, smartphones and tablets. Additionally, Gaming Corps' Remote Game Server (RGS) service allows other studios to build games using Gaming Corps' infrastructure, leading to the creation of partner studios like DEGEN Studios. Meanwhile, their games are available in 1000s of online casinos across multiple jurisdictions, including Lottomart.

Furthermore, Gaming Corps offer a wide range of gaming options. Not only do they have a portfolio of 110 or more slots showcasing some of the most popular games around (like the aforementioned 3 Pigs of Olympus and Penalty Champion), they've also developed table, crash, Plinko and even mine games. These are designed to offer high-speed sessions and "edge-of-your-seat" gameplay sessions. So, there's plenty of variety when it comes to deciding what game type you might like to try first.

All these elements combine to create an immersive and unique gaming experience that will appeal to slot gamers everywhere!
