Lightning Blackjack Rules
The main goal of Lightning Blackjack is to beat the virtual dealer by having a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer's hand without going over 21. The best hand is (of course) Blackjack, in which the value of the first two dealt cards is exactly 21.
The game is played using 8 standard 52-card decks. Number cards (2 through 10) are worth their face value. Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are each worth 10 points. Aces, meanwhile, can be worth either 1 or 11 points, depending on which value benefits the hand more.
The game usually starts with each player and the dealer receiving one face-up card each. Players then get dealt a second face-up card. The dealer then gets dealt a face-down card. Should the player's initial two cards be an Ace and a 10-value card, for example, they have Blackjack and win the game! Otherwise, the game continues.
Should players' first two cards not lead to Blackjack, Lightning Blackjack allows them to perform actions. For example, players can choose to "hit" (take another card) or "stand" (keep their current hand). They can also "double down", via which they double their original bet and receive only one more card. Or they can split a pair of cards of equal value into two separate hands and play each hand individually. Finally, players can go "bust" if the sum value of their two cards exceeds 21.
Lightning Blackjack Bonus Features
So far, so standard. However, Lightning Blackjack has an ace up its sleeve: multipliers. These are shown on every round after bets close and get applied to players' next hand so long as they won with a "17 and below", 18, 19, 20 and 21 (Blackjack). Each winning hand generates a random multiplier of 2x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 15x, 20x or 25x. Players who have won a multiplier but have to leave the game for whatever reason will find they can still use their multipliers the next time they play for up to 180 days.
