Primal Megaways is a standalone slot with no direct prequels or sequels. Normally, developers take a pre-existing slot game and revamp it using the Megaways engine. The slot's setting is the great expanse of a prehistoric landscape. This means you get canyons, rocky outcrops, vines (that move in the wind) littered with the odd spare vegetation, plant life and trees. Meanwhile, clouds scud along from right to left across the pinkish sky. The main game grid takes up most of the in-game screen and is set in a frame carved out of grey rocks. The Megaways counter sits on top of this. Symbols comprise royal playing cards and a wide assortment of animals (naturally). The squares that house the symbols are carved of granite rock. Generally, the slot has a stylised and colourful pastel look.
When not spinning the reels, the slot has a soundtrack that’s both mysterious and epic in equal measure, punctuated by stirring drum beats and the howl of the wind across the valley.
