The action in Slingo Elf Blitiz takes place on a three-lane racetrack at Christmastime, with presents, sleighs, lighted Christmas trees and even a snowman. Within the running track is the usual 5x5 game grid found in Slingo games, each number encased in a solid frozen block. Beneath the play grid sits the horizontal reel. The idea is to match numbers from the reel to the ones on the game grid on each base game spin. Two halves of a prize ladder occupy the left and right sides of the play grid, relating to the Slingos made in play A snowstorm is in progress if the soundtrack is anything to go by, consisting mainly of a howling wind accompanied by an assortment of jingle bells when spinning the reels and between spins.
